Overview
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead the team of around 8-10 people to give the best client service .through deliverables and interactions.
- Oversee day-to-day operations across Industry and ensure alignment with organizational goals and quality standards.
- Develop strong AM group who can inturn develop their team committed to integrity and excellence in their deliverables.
- Identifying trends in completeness and accuracy and finding training opportunities for the preparation team.
- Communicating noteworthy items and the conclusion of analysis on reported figures.
- Monitor team’s performance and optimize resource allocation for maximum impact.
- Handling complex projects with minimal instruction or guidance.
- Computing and preparing metrics such as key performance indicators (KPI’s) and dashboards for client utilization.
- Managing the team directly and managing the job manager upwardly through regular check-in meetings and discussions.
Technology skills and Competencies:
- Learn the Wipfli Way to boost team collaboration and work collectively towards shared goals.
- Collaborate with the performance coach to develop necessary skills for career progression.
- Train the staff on various core skills, processes, tools, etc.
- Participate in operational support activities such as practice/team appraisals and goal setting for assigned associates.

- Ability to work autonomously under strict time schedules.
- Ability to scrutinize data and propose solutions.
- Ability to identify, address, and resolve client issues.

Role expectations:
- Execute assigned client or organizational audit/accounting tasks to deliver expected results promptly.
- Engage regularly with clients, seniors, and other office counterparts for collaborative task completion.
- Communicate the status of the work plan and any issues to both clients and associates.
- Mentor and guide assigned Associates on advanced accounting practices, methodologies, and financial statement preparation.
- Adhere to communication and documentation standards to produce expected and related work.
- Contribute to the improvement of processes, practices, tools, and systems.
- Participate in advisory initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members to assist them with their deliverables or dependencies.
- Prepare and review complex financial statements and audit areas.
- Engage proactively with clients and managers on growth, expansion, and advisory areas.
- Participate in staffing planning, practice-related activities, hiring, etc.
- Manage the team: Allocate tasks, track progress, conduct reviews, provide coaching, and resolve issues.
Essential qualifications and Experience Required:
- Exerience of financial statement reviews, preparation of complex
- QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is a plus but not required at the time of interview and hire (will be required to be obtained after starting).
- Experience in Non-profit industry accounting.
- At least 6 years of job-related experience in the public accounting field with an emphasis on U.S. GAAP accounting specifically related to small to mid-size businesses or at least 6 years of job-related experience as a controller for a small to mid-size U.S. company.
- Recent QBO or Intacct or similar accounting package
- Should have a good familiarity with software tools and
- Prior supervisory and training experience, prior accounting software experience, prior business management experience
