The primary purpose of the Scrum Master is to ensure that development teams adhere to
scrum framework values and agile practices. The Scrum Master is also responsible for
mentoring and motivating teams, improving processes and removing impediments,
facilitating meetings, monitoring team performance and aiding in decision-making
processes.

• Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver on their Sprint and Release commitments.
• Work with Stakeholders to communicate status and obstacles as needed.
• Collaborate with other teams to identify cross team dependencies and aligndeliverables.
• Train, mentor and support scrum teams follow agile values, principles, and practices.
• Facilitate scrum ceremonies including daily scrums, sprint planning, grooming sessions, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.
• Identify and manage issues, risks, and action items.
• Resolve team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
• Facilitate discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution.
• Protect the delivery team from external interference, ensuring they have capacity to do the committed work.

• Good spoken and written English
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field
• Scrum Master certification
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience in coaching and mentoring teams, with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering high quality software
